Project...

It seems like we are always working on some kind of project around here. Guess that kinda goes with the territory of having a 9 year old house. (By the time we're done... not so sure that anything will be left from the original!)

Last Sunday sprang a new project on the homefront - a wood swing for the front porch. We had been trying to find some kind of swing/chair set for out there, but with out much luck. After an afternoon run to home depot where we still came up short, we made a quick trip back home where Josh printed something off the Internet, then hopped back in the truck and headed back to the store for supplies.

By Tuesday afternoon, our sweet little swing was cut, constructed, stained, and hung... awaiting its final top coat. Do I just have the most incredibly handy husband or what?

(I only get credit for sanding and staining!)

Our little project is already getting lots of use. On the night of its unveiling, I spent 40 minutes with my little Kaylee playing "Alphabet Go Fish" and listening to her read "Jog, Frog, Jog." So sweet!
It has also been perfect timing for all these stormy nights.
