Adventures from the North Pole

On Sunday, Josh and I took the girls on the Thunder Mountain Line "North Pole Express." This is something we have wanted to do for a while now... and figured this was the perfect year. Kaylee absolutely LOVES trains (she rarely lets her Thomas the Tank Engines out of her sight) and was so excited when we told her she would actually get to ride one! For 2 weeks she has been asking me when it was time to go.

When we pulled up to the "Station," Kaylee's face lit up... and we couldn't seem to get her out of her seat fast enough! We asked her if she was excited to ride "Thomas" - to which she responded,
"That's not Thomas sillys... that's James!"
Even though we arrived 30 minutes early, the place was packed! We had to walk through 6 different cars to find seats, but were able to get two benches that faced each other.
The girls didn't settle into their seats long...
They were too interested in watching out the window! Their favorite part was going over the river.

After riding the train for about 40 minutes, we arrived at our destination... the North Pole.

The girls were excited to get out and explore. And both were lovin' the snow! The break was perfect timing too, as Jadyn was starting to get a bit restless on the train.

What's this Daddy?

Watching for snowflakes...

The highlight, of course, was getting to meet Santa! Kaylee asked for a play kitchen, and a couple more things I couldn't quite make out. (Her list seems to change daily!) We also got to enjoy some cookies and milk from Santa's elves.

It was such a fun day! I'm not sure we'll do it again (not quite all we expected for the money) but are so glad we got to experience it with our little girls. As we were walking out to the truck we asked Kaylee what her favorite part was... and she said

"having fun with all of you!"

Okay... maybe we will do it again. :-)

I must be out of it cause I have never heard of that before. Looks like it was a fun expereince anyway, not very often you can find fun things to get to go do around here!
I love hearing the adorable things Kaylee says, its my favorite part of your posts....oh and the adorable pictures you take of course! :)

Too sweet. We did the winter wonderland train ride last year, and Amaya loved it! Love the Santa pics... I still can't Amaya near him w/o her going into total hysteria! No Santa pics for us! I'll just enjoy yours.
