Easter Eve

As a result of my whole wisdom teeth fiasco, which had me pretty much out of commission the last few days, I was feeling a little "Mom Guilt." You see, in the midst of getting sick every time I stood up from a lovely Penicillin reaction and the pleasure of two lower dry sockets, my little girls missed their annual MOMS Club Easter Party. I know they didn't know the difference, but I did. Oh how I did. (Apparently my body missed the memo that moms are not allowed to be sick!)

Anyway, to make it up to them I decided to pack in all the pre-easter fun today. And Grandma came along, which of course... always makes things twice as fun! We started out at a "Candy Hunt" where the girls each won a prize to go along with their basket full of sugar. My mom told Kaylee that she would help her, but Kaylee just put her hand out with a sweet little smile and said, "That's okay Grandma, I can do it all by myself. I'm a big girl!" Jadyn didn't seem to need much help either. She looked like a veteran out there racing to get all the candy in her bucket. Umm when did my girls grow up so much??



After that it was off to another hunt - this one complete with inflatables, an Easter Concert (the girls had a blast dancing to the music!), the Easter Bunny, Tigger and Winnie Pooh. (As you can see, Jadyn was a little frightened by Tigger. Kaylee tried to console her by putting her arm around Jadyn's shoulders but was a little upset herself - she could not figure out why Darbie didn't come along too!)




This time, Jadyn actually ended up with more eggs than big sissy. For some reason Kaylee was being very selective about the eggs she picked up. Apparently she had spied a spiderman egg somewhere and was not leaving until she found it. (Ah yes, my sweet little tomboy.)



It was such a fun day.... and more excitement to come tomorrow. Hopefully I redeem myself before the weekend is through!
