I was so excited when I heard Josh's sister, Shannon, was coming to town. Most of you know this already, but Shannon and I were friends for about a year and a half before I started dating Josh. (Yup - I get to have one of my best friends as a sister in law... can't really beat that!) Unfortunately, she and her family have lived far away from us pretty much the entire time we've had kids (first New York, then Hawaii, now off to DC!) so our visits are few and far between. Luckily, we have them here for a couple weeks and we have been soaking up our time together!!
A day at Eagle Island... swimming, playing in the sand, barbecuing, and devouring some dutch oven blueberry cobbler...
Another day playing on the boat...
And a girls night at my house while Josh was away on a fishing weekend with his brother.
Can't wait for more fun to come!

Eagle Island was a lot of fun, we'll have to do it again before summer is over.
Sad I had to miss out on the girls' night :-(
