Oh Christmas Tree!

The Holidays are upon us - which despite the cold weather and lack of flip flops, happens to be my favorite time of year. The music, the lights, the movies, the totes and totes of Christmas decorations... and of course, the true spirit of it all.

Tonight we sipped warm apple cider, listened to Christmas music, and unveiled the tree. The girls insisted that they could put up the ornaments themselves, so I got to just sit back and watch them - their little faces lighting up every time they picked a new ornament from the box. Kaylee was the meticulous one - making sure everything was nice and even and that the colors were properly distributed throughout the tree. Jadyn on the other hand seemed to be on a mission to stack as many ornaments as possible on the same branch. Oh my sweet little girls and their completely opposite personalities!
With the exception of moving a few ornaments to the top where they couldn't reach and making sure all the breakable/childhood ornaments were out of our baby boy's destructive path, I left it just the way it was. They were so proud of all their hard work!

So excited for our first Christmas as a family of five.

Life is perfect!
