I Have A New Love... and It Comes In a Little Purple Box...

So as many of you know, I'm a bit addicted to kids clothes. It drives Josh a little crazy (probably mostly because of the 14 storage tubs that are currently occupying the top shelf in our closet...) but it's the one thing that I seem to be able to spend money on with zero guilt. Though, in my defense, I happen to be a bargain-hunting *superstar* and can always find good deals! (With the exception of when I enter a Baby Gap store... but let's face it... they make it a little difficult to NOT splurge there!) And deep down I think he enjoys seeing them look cute just as much as I do. Really.
Well, I now have a new little addiction, and it goes against all my frugal-natured instincts. It's a brilliant little invention called "Pediped." Yes, these soft-soled little beauties come in all different colors/patterns and will make you want to buy a pair to match every outfit.
Well... if you have a bank account that would warrant the $32 price tag.

But seriously, AREN'T THEY CUTE???

Anyway, I went into "Little Feet" today on a mission to find Jadyn a pair of shoes that would actually fit. As you know, we have had the hardest time getting any on her feet that either a) don't fall off or b) leave little marks from rubbing into her skin. Anyway, a friend of mine suggested that I check out the store (geesh thanks Dawn!) because they had some cute stuff that would work for her. I didn't have high hopes because I am not a fan of Robeez (no offense to the 98% of the rest world who loves them!) But then I came across the Pedipeds, and I was done for.

Of course, as every girl knows, there is always a way to justify such splurges. And this is what I kept repeating in my head as I drove away feeling more than a little guilty:

1) Jadyn currently has 20 pairs of shoes sitting in her closet collecting dust because they don't fit her feet. So really, one good pair at $32 is better than 20 cheap useless pairs. Right?

2) I picked out the cute but practical "Isabella Chocolate Brown" pair that she can literally wear with just about everything... well, until she outgrows them. Which considering I had to buy her the 6-12 month size since her feet are so short, is unfortunately probably not too far off. Ssshhhh. We'll just think about that later.

And I'm sure Jadyn will be happy to FINALLY be able to walk around outside.

Now I'm just curious how long it will take Josh to read my blog and realize that I spent $32 on a pair of shoes for our 1 year old. Love you honey. :-)

Oh hilarious. We are about to venture down this path...again. Amaya's feet were too narrow for any old shoe, and we always spent at LEAST $30.

Have you heard of squeekers? They are very similar to pedipeds in style, fabric, texture, but they have a little squeeker in the heel you can hear every time they walk. But that is removable. Anyway, my friend sells them at street fairs, so she gets a wholesale price and sells them for about 20 bucks I think. Let me know if you want more info and I'll hook you up.

Good purchase. Very cute. Very worth it. :)

Those are SO cute! (Do they make boy shoes?) :-)

Every girl needs an expensive pair of shoes. Even if she is only 1.

Those are absolutely adorable! Good idea getting a pair that will go with a lot of different outfits (even though in a perfect world it would be fun to have different ones for every outfit!) I am fighting the urge to go shopping right now....
