Foreword: Please excuse the ridiculously long blog and gazillion pictures. I'm a bit addicted to my camera. Well, and to those adorable faces of my sweet little girls. :-)
On Saturday, we drove up to Josh's favorite place in the world - his parents' cabin in Island Park. (No seriously... the boy lived in Florida and even the Bahamas during his two-year mission and still thinks Eastern Idaho is the most beautiful place on earth. If we won the lottery I'm sure he'd buy him a big piece of land by the Tetons and drive a tractor around his farm all day!)
We met up there with Josh's parents, grandma, and two brothers and their families. It was so wonderful to spend time with everyone... we don't get to see them nearly enough! Kaylee was so excited to see Grandma and Grandpa and didn't want to leave their sides.

We also got to meet the newest addition to the McCulloch family - Tucker Bradley. He was born on July 15th and is just adorable! He was such a trooper on all the outings.
On Sunday, we drove to Yellowstone for a fun day at the park. Surprisingly, we didn't see nearly as many animals as normal, but the gorgeous waterfalls always make it worthwhile!
A couple hours into the trip, we stopped for a picnic - and of course, I couldn't pass up the opportunity for some cute pictures of the girls. (Notice that we finally got Jadyn into a pair of shoes... doesn't she look so grown up??)
Oh, and two attempts at a decent family picture. No such luck!

That night we stopped for pizza in West Yellowstone - which has become a bit of a family tradition. I forgot Kaylee's jacket so I let her wear mine when it got a little chilly. As you can tell, she was very excited about this idea.

Back at the cabin Marie cooked us up a batch of some yummy Microwave S'mores... not surprisingly, Jadyn was a big fan!
On Monday night we went to the Maxx Inn Dinner Theater and saw "Butch Cassidy and the Sunburnt Kid." Dinner was great and the show was hilarious! Kaylee even got the chance to dance on the stage after the show was over... the girl is not afraid of the spotlight!
On Tuesday, we decided to take a drive through Grand Teton National Park... which is gorgeous! We also went down to Jacksonhole, WY for dinner. Josh and I both love that little town! Unfortunately I didn't have my camera battery charged since I thought we were leaving that morning, so I didn't get any pictures from the last day of our trip. Luckily Dallas and Brad took some for me so hopefully I'll have them soon. I think we may have even gotten a successful family picture... I mean, is it really possible??
:-)
Saying goodbye was really rough for all of us. I really hope it's not another 6 months before we get to see them again! Dallas is supposed to be retiring in January so we're just crossing our fingers that they'll sell the house in Vegas and move up here by us! As we were saying goodbye Kaylee hugged them and said "Bye Grandma, bye Grandpa see you at the cabin in a minute, okay?" I knelt down and told her that we were going home and that it would be a while before she would see them again so she needed to give them big hugs. Kaylee burst into tears "NO Mommy! I don't want to go home! I want to go back to the cabin and stay with Grandma and Grandpa FOREVER!"
Yeah... there were some teary eyes in the bunch after that! The night after we got home she was snuggling with Josh and asked if we could go back to the cabin. Josh told her we couldn't because it was far, far away. So she said "That's okay Daddy - I'll drive you there. You just have to help me, okay??" Ah, 3 year olds.
P.S. I actually intended to include a slideshow with the rest of the pictures (yes there are more...) but my computer seems to hate me lately (we really have a love-hate relationship!) so when it decides to behave again I'll add it. I know, you're all just dying to see MORE pictures, right? haha :-)

for some reason your blog is always late in responding my most recent updated ones....otherwise I would have checked this a long time ago!!!
What a fun family vacation!!! Everyday you seemed to have somewhere fun and exciting to go, no wonder Kaylee didn't want to leave!
And yes I love Jadyn's shoes, hooray for that! :)
Josh went on a mission? I didn't know that! I never know fun things like that, that is so cool!
Just be thankful that Josh does love Idaho, then you know you will always be close to you fam! :)
Oh, so sweet. I love family reunions. But it is so heart breaking when you leave and the kids burst into tears! Amaya told me yesterday that we could just live in Boise, so we wouldn't have to drive there.... I wish little girl! :)
Jaydn is looking so big, especially now that she is walking in shoes!!
Sounds like you guys packed the vaca full of goodies. Gotta soak up that precious time, since it is limited.
And- you and husband look great in both pics, if only you could photo shop the girls, bc Kaylee looks great in one, and Jaydn in the other.
