24 WEEK STATS
Date: December 5th
Weight gained: 12 pounds
Baby: Let me just tell you... this boy NEVER stops moving! And I'm not just talking about those sweet little butterflies in your stomach... look at my tummy a little closer and you're most likely to see it bouncing one way or another... this little boy is STRONG! Looks like I will have THREE little bursts of energy running around soon.
Cravings: My really only consistent craving has been fruit, which as I mentioned before, happens to be annoyingly out of season. Well, let me rephrase that... my BODY seems to be craving fruit. The rest of me? Just about anything with sugar on it! I just want to sit and devour ooey gooey Pretzel Turtles and homemade fudge squares all day. Oh, and cheeseburgers. And soda. Or maybe I just want these things because I know I shouldn't be having them? I guess I better stick to oranges and pomegranates.
The Belly: Measuring around the biggest part of my belly, I'm at 34 inches -so I think it's safe to say I have definitely "popped!" It's been a little strange to be pregnant during the winter months where I can wear a coat and no one has any idea that there's even a baby hidden in there... because I swear I feel HUGE! It's already getting difficult to do little things - give the girls a bath, put on their shoes, pick up toys off the floor (50 times a day it seems!) I can only imagine in a few months when my tummy is the size of a beach ball! I'm sad to say that the life of my regular jeans is getting slim, though I'm attempting to squeeze at least a few more weeks (a little uncomfortably) out of them with a little help from my BellaBand. Maternity jeans and I do not get along!
The Pregnancy: I'm still a little in shock that our little guy is going to be here in just 3 more months. It's a mixture of pure excitement and just a little bit of anxiety... there is SO much to do before he comes! I've always heard that three changes everything, and in our case that is definitely true. A bigger car, a home addition... not to mention every receiving blanket, bib and washcloth is covered in pink. I just can't wait to get everything set up and ready so it's just perfect for him.
Oh, and the girls... They are getting more and more excited every day for their little brother to arrive. Kaylee is constantly asking me if he is kicking so she can put her hand on my belly. Jadyn does it too, but doesn't really understand the concept - so even if she doesn't feel anything, she'll get a huge grin on her face and with a burst of excitement, exclaim "Mommy, mommy baby Tyler kicked me!" They also love to give him kisses and talk to him through my tummy. Every time we're in a store they want to go to the baby section and look at all the fun things they think he should have. It's pretty clear that they already adore him just as much as I do!
