My beautiful baby sister graduated from high school this weekend - and considering I used to rock her in my arms, brush her hair, and sing her lullabies... it's making me feel a little old. Mandi is heading off to college next fall and we are all going to miss her like crazy. So proud of you sis!
Oh, and funny story. Kaylee has always been a bit confused by the fact that Mandi is her aunt (which in 4-year-old-reasoning puts her in the grownup category) and still living at home. She had the same boyfriend for a couple years and Kaylee would always ask her why she and this boy weren't married and living in their own house. The night of Mandi's graduation, I was putting Kaylee to bed and she started asking me a million questions about the whole "college thing." Then I broke it to her that it meant Mandi would be moving far away for a while. As soon as I said that, Kaylee jumped up and with a horrified look on her face said "Oh no! I'm sorry Mommy! I was just kidding when I asked her why she was a grown up and still living with her Mommy and Daddy!"
