School's Out for Summer!

I wish I would have had my camera ready when Kaylee's class let out for the last bell... they came running out of the classroom with hands above their heads yelling, "We're fiiiiiirst graders!!!" I don't think I've ever seen them smile that big in unison. Jadyn, Tyler and I were waiting by the flagpole to take her home, but she begged for one last ride on the bus with her friends. (Why do I even try to compete with that 6 minute bus ride... it's the highlight of her day!)

That night I let the kids camp out in the new family room and watch two (yes two!) movies - The First Dog and Thumbelina. (Tyler only lasted half way through the first one, but the girls were wide awake until the last credits and 60 seconds later they were fast asleep on the floor.)

Here's to summer (and figuring out how to entertain three children alllll day, every day....)
