9 months!

Jadyn Grace turned 9 months old yesterday. My sweet little girl is becoming less and less like a baby every day... how sad is that?! Well for a little progress report... Jadyn is moving around like crazy these days. She has mastered the whole crawling thing and can easily keep up with big sis. She has also been pulling up to stand on just about everything (and giving Mommy a heart attack along the way!) She hasn't quite got up the nerve to let go (she can stand on her own... just likes the security) or take any steps... but it doesn't seem far off. And to think I had just gotten used to the crawling idea!

My favorite part about this age is watching my little girls playing together. Kaylee has had some trouble getting used to the idea of sharing her toys with her once immobile little sister, but for the most part seems to enjoy having a new playmate. Besides - here soon she's not going to have much of a choice... little Jadyn (all 20 pounds of her) is much more of a stout little thing. She has already pushed Kaylee down twice - no joke!

The other day I was in doing the dishes and looked down for Jadyn and didn't see her. I walked in to Kaylee's room and there they were - Kaylee putting her baby dolls into the doll swing and Jadyn pushing it. They thought this was hillarious! The two of them sat and played together for about 20 minutes... so cute! Kaylee seems to be enjoying being able to "teach" her little sis how to do things... finally someone who will let her be the boss! haha

Oh, and in other news... Jadyn has learned to wave and says "hi" and "mama". Josh, of course, thinks that this is because I coach her while he's at work. But we all know it's just because Mommy is her favorite. Hey, we already know Kaylee is a Daddy's girl... gotta have one Mama's girl in the bunch! :-)
