Jadyn has been on the verge of walking for a few weeks now. She has been walking around holding onto the furniture and a couple days ago started pushing the little car walker around the house. But still, she didn't seem to have quite enough courage to venture out on her own, and her chubby little legs didn't seem sturdy enough to hold her up. We just figured she was content "speed crawling" and wouldn't walk until closer to a year. (Which of course, would have been fine with us!)

Well, so much for that theory! Tonight I was sitting on a blanket with the kids while Josh and my Dad were playing softball and out of nowhere she just stood right up in the middle of the blanket, took two steps and sat down. You should have seen her little face light up! I, of course, got very excited - which just made her even more proud of her little accomplishment. My mom was there to witness it too - which was a cool grandma moment. I'm guessing it will take her a little while to give her up current method of getting around, but I don't think her full-walking days are far off. Now we just have to hope that her chubby little feet will finally fit in a pair of shoes!

awww...I remember those days. It is one of the first most memrable moments in their lives to us. Congrats on catching that & It is great to hear that Grandma was there to see it too. Not very many Grandparents get to witness that.
Aww...sweet baby Jadyn! Don't grow up yet!
Yay! So much fun and she is just too cute!
How exciting, she is going to have a complex if you keep talking about her chubby feet! :)
Isn't it bitter sweet? It's exciting to see them come into new phases, but sad to see them grow up so quickly, and to know they'll never be your little baby again. Kendal's walking days aren't too far off either. Hooray for the gma moment! :)
