Happy Birthday Kaylee... Our Little Girl is THREE!

Kaylee had a great birthday today! This morning we met up with her little friend Anna and let them run around in Toys R Us. In 3 year old land this is just as fun as a day at the park... even without taking the whole store home with her. Who knew?

Kaylee's favorite present was definitely her Barbie Power Wheels jeep. For some reason she wasn't too fond of the idea of riding alone, but luckily she found some very willing passengers!
Her best friend Anna...

Her other best friend Ava...

Even little sissy got a turn! (As you can see, Jadyn is also a big fan!) Oh, and that's really not a sad face that Kaylee is making... she's just really intent on changing the CDs in her Barbie radio. Priorities, you know.

Believe it or not, this sweet little moment was not prompted. Are they just the cutest little sisters or what?

Kaylee has gotten pretty good at driving her jeep but is still having a hard time figuring out the steering. Helping her today gave me flashes of 13 years from now (okay, foot off the gas -turn the wheel - nope the other way - slow down - whoa, stop - no stop!) Ah, the joys of parenthood. Is it possible to just skip the teen years all together?? :-)

Kaylee had a full day of playing with her friends and hanging out with Mommy and Daddy. Grandma and Grandpa Beck also came to see her, which made her day! She gets so excited when Grandma pulls up in her convertible! She also got to open more presents from Mommy and Daddy: a new bike horn, coloring books, her first "real" puzzle, and a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse JamStand. And to think she'll be getting more presents on Sunday. We may just need to buy a bigger house one of these days. (Or perhaps just stop buying her so many toys?? Naah.)

For dinner, Mommy made Kaylee's favorite - lasagna roll ups and caesar salad (I know, strange child!) and she ate two helpings worth. She also helped Mommy make her "cake" - Funfetti Brownies.

It's still hard for me to believe she is really 3 years old already. It didn't really hit me until tonight before bed when she cuddled up next to Josh and fell asleep in his arms. It made me think back to when she was a baby - most of the time she would only fall asleep if one of us was holding her. She has always been such a snuggler!
Even though it breaks my heart to think she's not a little baby anymore, I just love watching her learn and discover new things. She has the cutest little firecracker personality and can always bring a smile to my face. Happy Birthday sweetheart... I'm so thankful and proud to be your mommy!

So sweet. They grow up too fast. I still feel like the girls are babies too!

How sweet! Time just absolutely flies! I don't think she could have asked for a better present! And what a good sissy to share with Jaydn.
