Days Four and Five: DISNEYLAND

I'm not sure where to even begin with our trip to Disneyland... except to say that is was by far our favorite thing of the whole trip! We had originally planned to only go one day... so glad we were able to squeeze in two. On Wednesday morning, we also visited California Adventures, but didn't stay there long since it's not as geared towards little ones. We did get to see a live Playhouse Disney Show though, complete with the Mickey gang, Little Einsteins, and Jadyn's favorite... Tigger and Pooh... so that was worth it in itself!

We stayed both days pretty much from open to close - and amazingly, the girls did great! We weren't sure how they would hold up with the long lines (thankfully we went when school was still in session so not as bad as it could have been!) but they really only struggled at the 1 1/2 hour line to meet the Disney Princesses. And when we finally got up there, Kaylee just kept asking them where Snow White and Belle were... she wanted them to come out of their castles! Tinkerbell turned out to be one of their favorites... and she seemed to enjoy chatting with our little girls. (Kaylee wanted to know where Vidia was and how come she was so mean to her.)

The costume characters turned out to be Jadyn's favorite part of the park. Especially Goofy! As we were waiting in line, there was a group of around 15 adult women in front of us. At first Jadyn was waiting fairly patiently - that is, until each one of them decided to individually pose with Goofy with 10 different cameras. At that point Jadyn started crying hysterically and did everything she could to escape us and run up to him! When it was finally her turn she wrapped her arms around his leg so tight that we weren't sure she would ever let go! I also love the picture of her snuggling into Tigger. She is at such a tender age!
Kaylee's favorites were the Dumbo ride, Alice in Wonderland, and... Splash Mountain! She was barely tall enough to go (in fact, I'm pretty sure Josh had her stand on her tippy toes just a little to pass the check) and I totally expected her to be terrified - but the kid has no fear! She kept asking for Daddy to take her over and over. She finally convinced me to take her too and I couldn't believe it was my little girl up there - holding her hands up in the air with a big grin as she plunged down the 52 foot drop. Both girls also loved the carousel!

All I can say is WOW! What an amazing trip! Looks like you guys had the most fabulous trip EVER!!!
I was wondering what happened to you, I forget that sometimes you keep your posts in your file for awhile, and I forget to scroll down and see if you have updated. I always seem to do that with you.......?
You are so brave to take that long of a drive with 2 young girls, I KNOW I wouldn't have been as happy or friends with my husband after that long of a drive. You are my hero for being able to do that.
You are such a beautiful family. I love love love all these pics. What awesome memories they are, and how blessed your girls are for having such wonderful parents who take them to such FUN FUN FUN places! :)
