Our little family was in desperate need of a vacation and since Josh had the Saturday before 4th of July off, we decided it was the perfect time for a little getaway. In the ten years that I've known Josh, he has always told me how amazing the Idaho Falls fireworks show is, so I decided it was time for him to finally prove it.

Friday night we just hung out at the hotel and took little Tyler for his first swim. Well, if you want to call it that - the water was a little too cold for him so he never made it completely into the pool, but he did enjoy sitting on my lap in the hot tub and dipping his little feet in the warm water.

The next morning we woke the kids up early and met up with Josh's aunt, uncle, and cousins for the parade. It was freezing outside, but the kids didn't seem to mind. They were too busy admiring all the floats and gathering up candy.
After the parade, we went over to Josh's cousin Ryan's house where the girls got to hang out with all their second cousins. The trampoline was definitely the highlight!

Later that afternoon, we met up with Josh's best friend Todd and his wife Chantelle to watch the fireworks. Kaylee wasted no time in making new friends with the other kids at the park while Jadyn spent most of her time coloring and playing with stickers. Oh, and we managed to get Todd to hold Baby Ty (he says he's afraid of babies.) Doesn't he look natural at it?? (Hint, hint Todd... our kids need playmates! :-) )
We were a little worried that the fireworks might scare Tyler but he seemed to enjoy just staring at all the pretty lights!
