If you happen to stop by house in the next couple weeks...
Please do not be alarmed.
No, my house has not been broken into, and no my body has not been taken over by extraterrestrials. I beg you to disregard the dirty dishes in the sink, piles of dirty laundry, and unvacuumed floors. I don't even anticipate pulling out my Scunci steamer for its weekly disinfecting of the doorknobs, faucets, and toys. In fact, if it weren't for our ubber-busy schedule lately, there is a possibility that my children would be in their pajamas until noon.
And what is the reason for all this madness?
TWO LITTLE WORDS.
(And I know most of you know them well....)
TWILIGHT SERIES

So, I'm not really normally much of a reader. Not that I don't LIKE to read, but since the majority of my life (minus the last few years) revolved around text books, I never had time to read for pleasure and I just never thought about taking it up again when I had babies. (Well and then of course... the text books were replaced with all those joyous parenting books!)
Well over the last couple months, all I have heard about from my friends is how amazing this series is. They too talked about ignoring chores and staying up all night to read hundreds of pages at a time. I was definitely skeptical, but couldn't help seeing what all the fuss was about. My friend Shannon gave me the book on Wednesday night, and I had a very hard time putting it down... by Saturday I had read all 498 pages! And in all honesty, I probably would have read it even faster if my contacts hadn't started drying out and given me a headache. And the verdict??
SOOO GOOD!
I'm definitely ready to get started on Book 2. (I knew I shouldn't have let myself read the preview at the end of the first book... so not nice when you don't have the next one in hand!)
Pretty crazy that this all originated from a dream she had. Hmmm maybe I need to start writing down all those crazy dreams of mine after all....
P.S. I just have one question....
WHO'S COMING WITH ME TO SEE THE MOVIE???

omg. you too??? now I have to read these! holy moly.
Hooray, you caved and read it!! I am very much a twilight fan, and like you am NOT a reader, but yes this series took hold of my life for about a week to get through the first 3 books. Then I had to wait like everyone else for the
4th book to come out. So you are lucky that you started later than the rest of us cause you can just read them all in a row!
I have been keeping up somewhat with the movie that is coming out, looking at the actors that will play what parts, not my fav for some, but oh well.
If I can handle sitting for that long I am going to try to go to the movie before I have the baby, but I will be like 9 months prego by the time it comes out...so i dunno!
good luck with being a mom and trying to read at the same time....quite a challenge, but you can do it! :)
You are so funny...the books just suck you in don't they?!?! I read them all so fast, then I was sad it was over soooo...I read them all again. I was asking John if he would go to the movie with me and JT was listening and said "It sounds like a girl movie mom, you should go with someone else." Already anti-chick flick.
Ahhh, Malissa. Welcome to the club!!
You know I'll be there at the movie opening day. :-) And just so you know, the books just get better and better.
Oh, my....glad I'm not the only one! My life pretty much came to as much as a halt as possible for 4weeks while I devoured all four books!
Loved Them!
Can't wait to see the movies!
I'll definitely go to the movie with you...midnight showing even! I am almost done with the 4th book and I just got them a week ago...luckily my mom was here for a few days and I didn't have to take care of the kids or do housework while she was here!
