Kaylee and Jadyn have temporarily inherited a new form of entertainment... their sweet baby cousin Tucker! Josh's little brother, his wife Marie, and the baby have staying with us for the last week and the girls have been in heaven. Jadyn has been particularly in love with him... I think she figures he is like a real live baby doll!
Jadyn has taken on a mommy role with Tucker and if she hears him fuss, will run to his side to see what's the matter. (Or perhaps she thinks she might get a binky out of the deal?)
Kaylee has gotten pretty attached to having him around too. The other night Josh and I were visiting with her before she went to bed.
This was the conversation:
Me: Kaylee, hasn't it been so much fun to have little Tucker here?
Kaylee: Yes Mommy, can we keep him?
Me: No Honey, he has to go home with his Mommy and Daddy.
Josh: What if Mommy and Daddy had another little baby some day, would that be fun?
Kaylee: Umm no. I think we should just keep Tucker.
Me: (Repeat of line #3)
Josh: So if we had a baby, would you want a little brother or a little sister?
Kaylee: No, not a sister! I already have Jadyn and I like her. I want to keep Jadyn.
Me: (laughing) No sweetie, we would have another baby. Jadyn would still be your sister.
Kaylee: Ohhh
Josh: So what about a baby brother?
Kaylee: Sure! That would be fun!
Josh: And if we have a little boy what should we name him?
Kaylee: (Puts finger to chin then answers wide eyed...)
I know, we can name him Baby Jesus!!
Umm guess who won't be in charge of naming baby #3??

Tatem would gladly keep her cousin as well. She has been a little mama to him since the day he was born, too bad he's two now and wants to do everything himself. That tends to cause problems. Hopefully she'll warm up to a different name for a possible baby brother!

I think a baby brother or sister may be in the works here pretty soon eh? :)
