With all the excitement over St. Patrick's Day at school, the girls had been talking about those "sneaky leprechauns" for a week and were so excited to see what they might do when the real day arrived. Josh and I woke up early to make a special St. Patty's Day breakfast and called the girls in to see their green pancakes. Then we let them help pour milk into their glass bottles... which just happened to turn green as it filled up. Expecting their usual excitement I knelt down with wide eyes and asked, "Wow girls, can you believe those silly leprechauns turned your food green??"
Kaylee looked up at me with one hand on her hip and said, "Moooomm, that's just food coloring!"
Ouch. Who told her that she could start with this growing up business anyway?
Kiddos drinking their homemade Shamrock Shakes for dessert... they were a hit! (And greener in real life. :-))
