Tonight was Kaylee's annual Nutcracker Dance Performance and this year she got to be a cute little candy cane. I was so sad that Jadyn wasn't big enough to be in it too and it broke my heart last week when we went to pick up Kaylee's costume and with big tearful eyes, she looked at me and asked "Mommy, where's my costume?" I almost teared up myself when I had to tell her that only the older classes were performing this time. But when the day came, she was so excited to watch her big sister on stage. Only a few more months until she makes her own debut, and I can't wait!
Today also marked the end to Josh working in Twin Falls on Saturdays and the beginning of having weekends off like the rest of the world! (I kept reminding myself of that as I attempted to juggle three little ones on my own through this afternoon's dance rehearsal and taxiing them to and from the high school mulitple times throughout the day.) I was SO nervous that he wouldn't make it back into town in time to see her perform - but he literally walked into the auditorium just as she was walking on stage. Can't get better timing than that! A big thank you to my mom and little sister for coming to the show and helping me wrangle my very energetic Jadyn and Tyler throughout the performance!
Our little star... oh how she loves to be on stage!
