Santa was here!

A train table was at the top of the girls' Christmas list this year (especially Kaylee!) and since we have a new little boy in a sea of pink toys... we figured it would be the perfect present for our three little ones.

Unfortunately this Santa gift brought on a mini crisis at the McCulloch household. You see, since it would be in the new family room, Mommy wanted a table with a dark cherry finish so that it would mesh with the rest of the furniture. And Daddy wanted one that a had a train set that was "cool" enough for his little engineers. The elves were kind enough to send us the table Mommy wanted and a different train table that we could take the playboard/train set off of, but when Daddy put the table together, we realized that it was about 4 inches to narrow and 2 inches to short for the set to fit. Luckily Daddy's garage doubles as a toy workshop and he was able to build onto the existing table and stain the wood to match. I was a little nervous, as I am with every project he undertakes... but as always, it turned out beautifully. I'm starting to think Josh's real calling was at the North Pole. :-)

Can't wait to see those little faces in the morning. This might go down as the best Santa present yet!
