For all intensive purposes, I am a flip-flop wearing weather kinda girl. So it might surprise you to hear that the foot of snow in my front yard makes me a little giddy inside. I mean, if it's going to be cold, it might as well be white, right? Plus, it makes a pretty sight with the waterfall and Christmas lights....
It was definitely a day to stay close to home. We started the morning with a playdate at my new friend Natalie's house who lives down the street. Complete with a winter tea party and homemade chicken noodle soup.

This morning I woke up at 6am to my cell phone ringing. It was the school district saying that school was cancelled. Sure enough, there were 8 new inches of snow waiting for us outside!

Then it was time to make some good use of the white stuff while Baby Ty took his nap!

These two crack me up... two little peas in a pod, I swear!

It was a fun, fun day. Of course there were chores that went undone and errands I didn't get to run, but it was a great excuse to forget the day-to-day stuff and spend some time just rolling around in the snow with my girls!
